What simple, wavy prom hair styles can you recommend?

i naturally have quite wavey hair

i wear it in a side parting but am willing to put it in the middle or whereever

i want it to be wavey but in the right places so products or styling thingies i can do would be great

i have tried curlers

it looked crap

not what i want at all

i just want it wavey

kind of like the olsen twins

only different

its got to be smething simple

but different

its a bit of a tall order
