You really can't say that you don't know the answer to this.
How about not doing it. You won't get a new hair style, you will get a pretty good shock. You could also trip the circuit breaker, ruin socket, and not really help the coat hanger all that much. This sort of thing can get you killed or injured. It could also get anyone who tries to help you killed or injured.





Standing in the bucket of water won't help too much unless it is metal and touching something which grounds it.





If you happen to do this with a ground fault interruptor circuit, you will feel a short shock and then nothing. The circuit will detect that electricity went down one wire without coming back on the other and trip.





If you do this with a regular circuit breaker, you wil end up with a continuous shock until the amperage was great enough to trip it. You may not be able to let go of the wire, so you could end up just standing there getting a huge shock, feeling everything and not being able to do a thing about it.





Don't put anything into the socket unless it is designed to go there.
