Prom- hair styles that go with my dress?

I am going to my Junior Prom next weekend and I just bought my dress. It is black and has some grey designs around the bottom and top of it. It is a medium length dress.



What do you think I should do for my hair? Should I put it up or keep it down? My mom thinks that for long dresses, you are supposed to wear your hair up and for short/medium dresses you should wear it down, but I don't know.

i think hair always looks prettier down, like half up half down with curled hair. And an updo is more formal. Ask some of your friends how theyre doing their hair and see if you should go more formal or leave it down. How the dress looks doesnt matter how you should wear your hair, so just choose the style you like the best. I also suggest if its possible to get your hair done at a salon, its what alot of people do for prom and ends up looking alot better. Heres some ideas:

is it a strapless dress?? if soo were your hair down... if it has straps than were it up with loose curls hanging in the back
For my opinion i think you should straighten your hair and then just leave it down.
