Short hair styles for thin hair?

I have really thin hair towards the crown....everywhere else is pretty normal looking. Would my hair look better with a shorter cut? Right now it's just ';blah'; and sits there or I pull it back(for work). I'm so sick of it! It's a little longer than shoulder length and has no real layering or texture. i would cut it into a more into style bob. where is it shorter in back and longer in front. that way you have a lot of layers in the crown to get the volume. i have the same problem. i am also a hairstylist. i hear ya on that one
maybe try a pixie cut those are very cute!
