Cute hairstyles for short curly hair?

I got my hair done about a month ago, and the hairdresser sort of messed it up. I wanted a short cut with big curls at the end, but the hair dresser made it so that the curls were more ...half curls? And the hair is way too short. So, overall, I have a frizzy mess that looks like a triangle...like

The thing is that I don't go well with this hairstyle at all. I look a lot older, and I have to tie my hair every day to make myself feel better. But I don't look good with my hair up either...Is there any way I can tame it (without straightening it) so that the curls are more 'together' (they look okay when its wet), or so that i'll look cuter?

I would just straighten it, until it grows out. Or just put it back. Maybe try clipping half of it up, and leaving the rest down? I don't know. Good luck though. (:Cute hairstyles for short curly hair?
Try Frizz ease, or some other brand of serum to fight frizz, there are loads out there.

Or you could try a leave in conditioner (put through damp hair and leave it there so that it dries nicer)



I'd also suggest pinning sections back to frame your face differently



(Obviously I don't know what your hair looks like, but based on that picture I don't think it looks too bad at all, you probably see it very differently to how others do)

I have about the same type of hair... I take the front section, usually from the end of one eyebrow to the end of the other eyebrow and pull it up and bobby pin it at the top of my head... (Think the styles that alot of girls with straight hair do, where they ';bump'; the front up for height) Then I just let the rest of it curl... It gives the height on top (which anyone with curly hair needs), opens up the face, and doesn't look too severely pulled back (which sometimes a headband will do).



Also it doesn't let it look like your hair is flat on top and gradually working it's way to an afro the further down your hair goes...



To dress it up, instead of using bobby pins, use a fancy or sparkly hair clip



*Just make sure you finger comb it up, don't use a brush, and it will look alot more natural.
Tie it into loose, cute bunchies that you can pull in front of your shoulders

I recently got a haircut and now my hair is short (a little shorter than my shoulder), layered, curly and black. It鈥檚 too short to put in a ponytail or anything like that and it鈥檚 really curly. I can鈥檛 figure out what to do with my hair! Today, I just stuck two bobby pins on either side my hair and went to school like that. Everyone said it looked really cute but I was wondering if anyone had any other hairstyle suggestions? If you have pics, that鈥檇 help too!(=

Hey. I also just cut my hair short, its a tad shorter than my shoulders too, and super curly. I've found that having a side part adds a cute flair to it ( since I usually just had it parted down the middle). Also, Im not sure if my hair is a little longer than yours, but I was able to put my hair into two tiny pony tails, which looked cute too. :)

All my life I've had dirty blonde, curly, medium length hair. I recently got it cut and my hair now just barely touches my shoulders. I had to get it cut because of damage from straightening it, so that is not an option as a hairstyle.





I'm looking for really cute hairstyles that I CAN do. I have no idea what to do with it, I've never had it this short! Searching on Google wasn't really helpful, so I was hoping this would be.

I know it is possible to enroll in the basic rotc course at 15 in college but I assume you mean jrotc; three years of which can take the place of the basic course but this is really most relevant for the ecp at the military jc's. In any event, the grooming regs are the same for jrotc, rotc and the army, and I didn't think the army had any absolute length standard. I know the Marines max length is three inches and the Navy's is four, and the Marines require an edge tapered to zero at the nape and around th ear arches, while none of the other service branches do. At two inches max, you can of course get a butch or brush cut, referred to by some as a buzz cut, but also the short pomp styles are possible- crew cut, ivy league(long crew cut), flat top crew cut, as well as a forward brush cut. With a crew cut, ivy league,or flat top crew cut, the hair is graduated in length on top, longer to the front hairline to allow the short pomp front to form when the hair is brushed up off the forehead. This allows the barber to design the cut so the appearance of the head shape fits the face shape and frontal hairline. As a result, a well designed short pomp style can fully suit almost any young guy's head shape, face and neck shape, frontal hairline and facial features. In contrast, only about 10% of guys fully suit a butch cut, as the barber has little room to make the appearance of the head shape fit the face shape and frontal hairline since the top hair is cut a uniform short length. A forward brush is cut specifically so the hair lays flat and has an attractive short fringe when brushed forward onto the forehead. Usually a forward brush suits a guy with fairly wavy hair and a somewhat longer face. Most of the linked photos are of guys with quite wavy hair.

Sideburns tend to normalize the distance between the corner of the eye and the tip of the chin. Short sideburns can lengthen a short face and long sideburns can shorten a long face. Grooming any of the short pomp styles- crew cut, ivy league, flat top crew cut- is basically the same. I usually use krew comb in the jar, lucky tiger cru butch, gabel's crew cut, or stix fix design polish. Krew comb washes out readily. The others don't if too much is applied. To remove a wax build up. Apply shampoo to dry hair and lather up before showering. Rinse in shower and shampoo again as one normally does. It takes less than two minutes to groom a crew, ivy or flat after stepping out of the shower.

1) Towel dry hair.

2) Barely dip fingertips in jar of wax.

3)Transfer wax to palms.

4) Smooth palms over hair.

5)Brush hair off forehead to form short pomp front.

The small flat oval plastic pocket brushes that one finger fits through and barbers sell for about a dollar work well with the short styles; as does a boar's bristle military brush.

Whichever style you decide on, take a photo to help describe the desired haircut to the barber or stylist. One way to determine hair lengths in a photo, is to measure the length of the hair and then the length of the face from the center of the front hairline to the tip of the chin. Assume a male adult face length of around eight inches and then proportionally adjust the lengths. The lengths of many short upright styles is longer at the front hairline than one imagines from looking at photos.

Can't help with the face shape without a photo. There is quite a difference between an oval and square face. Oval is much easier to design a haircut for. The point of male face shape analysis is to find a hairstyle that maximizes or minimizes the hair in different areas of the head so as to create the illusion of the perfect oval face shape with a more masculine boxy rather than feminine more rounded skull shape.

hmm i dont have pics but my bf has long curly hair and its very cute

he uses a moisturizing leave in conditioner to seal the curl

and he uses a gel to make it shine and make it stay

I don't think you should straighten it, if you want to continue having healthy hair. The product you're using is OK, too!



Scrunching gel to your hair is the fastest, easiest, healthiest way to go.



You can also invest on butterfly clips in various sizes and colors and experiment on funky, wild, elegant, styles. Get inspired by looking at PROM or HAIRSTYLES magazines. I can do 7 styles in a week, it's never the same in less than 5 mins on my very long hair and I'm good to go.
